Our Cancer Campaigns Ambassadors
Cancer Campaigns Ambassadors use their passion and experience to represent Cancer Research UK and help influence politicians so that they support our campaigns.
We are holding a lobby on November 3rd where some of our Ambassadors will get the chance to meet with their MPs in Westminster. For more information and to get involved visit the Our Next Lobby page
Our Ambassadors are provided with all the support and know how from experts in the world of media and politics in specialist training packs to take on this unique volunteering opportunity with Cancer Research UK.
Cancer Campaigns supporters have successfully lobbied for comprehensive smokefree legislation in England - saving up to 600 lives a year - and for NHS cancer strategies in all four UK nations. More recently, our Ambassadors have also been instrumental in getting 1,034 Prospective Parliamentary Candidates to Commit to Beat Cancer, which translated to us having an amazing 260 committed MPs! The successes of the campaigns so far have outstripped all expectations but we want to take this even further by putting you at the heart of the campaigning process.
